IRFBE has receives numerous requests for humanitarian assistance from communities across Ethiopia facing emergencies. IRFBE mobilizes resources and volunteers to fight hunger and respond to humanitarian crisis in Ethiopia in line with its Emergency Response Program.

A 26,000 KG of rice donated by a group of people from Texas, USA has been distributed to four IDP Camps located in Gereni Woreda, Afar Region namely Farn IDP Camp, Begelale IDP Camp, Megenta IDP Camp and Mekole IDP Camp with a total household number of 200, 300, 400, 500 respectively. The donation was distributed jointly by IRFBE and Ethiopian Disaster Risk Management Commission (EDRMC) on 14th February, 2024.
